UKRAINE 2022 FOR NPR

In 2022 as talk of a Russian invasion was starting to circulate, Timothy Wolfer Traveled to the city of Mariupol, Ukrain where he spent nearly a month getting to know the city and residence during the lead up to war. On Jan 6, 2021 I was working for the New York Times as rioters overtook the U.S. Capitol. I spent the day filming from the steps. Filmed and Conducted Interviews on the U.S.S. Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier for Business Insider.  Video looked at cost overruns of new technology. Business Insider description: The USS Ford is the most advanced aircraft carrier the US has ever built. The tally for the total cost is $13.3 billion, nearly 30% more than initial estimates. However, more costs are expected. The Navy accepted the Ford in 2017 without some of its newest technologies operating, and the ship still won’t be completely ready for battle until 2022.

ABC Australia’s Foreign Correspondent - No Justice, No Peace

I worked as the cinematographer in June 2020 for ABC Australia’s Foreign Correspondent program. The documentary covered the Black Live Matters protest in Baltimore and the phonographer Devin Allen. ABC Australia description: What began as a hashtag seven years ago has transformed into a global movement for justice for black people. Sally Sara reports on #BlackLivesMatter, the force galvanising the rage and grief triggered by George Floyd’s death.

Personal Project - Larry Ginter; Bern-ing up the Iowa Caucus 

I have always wanted to cover the Iowa caucus, So in 2020 I flew out and told the story of retired farm worker Larry Ginter, Putting his support behind Bernie Sanders, Larry calls friends, knocks on doors and reads everything so he can argue how Bernie is best for Iowa. In this short video I was a one person show, producing interviews, flying the drone and doing the editing.

Conducted interviews and filmed the Nabisco strike for the media outlet More Perfect Union. Description: Every U.S. Nabisco bakery is now on strike. Workers in Richmond, VA say they worked 16-hour days during the pandemic while Mondelez made record profits. Now they're being asked to take crumbs. They are vowing to strike until they get a fair contract. No contracts, no snacks.
